Job Responsibilities:
As a Trial Litigation Paralegal in our Personal Injury department, you'll play a crucial role in advocating for our clients, who are often involved in severe motor vehicle accidents, traumatic brain injuries, wrongful death cases, and significant orthopedic injuries. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of tasks, from assisting attorneys in trial preparation to managing various aspects of legal proceedings. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to support our clients' interests and contribute to the litigation process.
Responding to and propounding written discovery
Drafting trial documents and preparing exhibit binders
Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and other materials needed for court.
File documents with the court and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines.
Drafting various litigation motions and preparing oppositions
Coordinate with witnesses, schedule depositions, and organize trial logistics.
Reviewing and summarizing discovery responses
Provide comprehensive support to our attorneys throughout all stages of litigation.
Propound and respond to discovery
Maintain well- organized case files
Assist in drafting, reviewing, proofreading, and formatting legal documents.
Manage court deadlines and maintain an accurate calendar.
Prepare documents for filing in both state and federal courts
Maintain professional communication with clients, experts, courts, and defense counsel.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and keep them informed about case progress.
Job Requirements:
Over three years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on personal injury cases.
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Proficient in written and oral communication.
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Familiarity with e-Filing and California rules.
Knowledge of California discovery rules.
Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
Bilingual- Fluent in Spanish is a plus
